Hi! I'm Niimm, the mum behind Maison Magnet Co.

Six months ago, we welcomed our second baby — a daughter. And in the quiet of those first newborn weeks, holding her, I found myself missing someone who was asleep in the next room: her big brother. Not the little boy he had become, but the newborn he had been.

So I went looking for him. An old phone. Thousands of photos. Scrolling past screenshots and blurry duplicates, searching for the ones that mattered.

They were in there somewhere. But they weren't in my life.

That's when it all began.

If our homes are already filled with the people we love most, why should our favourite photographs of them stay locked behind a screen?

I created Maison Magnet Co. to bring those moments out into the open. We believe your best photographs deserve more than a camera roll. They deserve to be seen — in the morning rush, in the middle of an ordinary Tuesday, every single time you reach for the fridge door.

Whether it's your newborn's first days, your wedding, a trip you'll never repeat, your children caught mid-laugh, or the pet who made your house a home — every magnet is handcrafted with care, using the photographs you love most.

Our own path to this kitchen took a while. For eleven years, home was Dubai, where I worked night shifts for one of the world's largest airlines. I'd come home in the mornings to my son just as my husband left for his day shift — and by the time he returned, I had about ten minutes with the two of them before leaving again. Ten minutes was our overlap.

In 2024, we moved to Canada. Ottawa was the first city we landed in, and we never left. It's where our two children are growing up, and it's home in a way that still surprises us both.

Today, every magnet is made by hand right here in Ottawa — usually while my daughter naps in the next room. That isn't a marketing line; it's simply what the days look like. Every order is crafted as though it were for my own family, because I know these aren't just photographs. They're the moments you'll never want to forget.
